Initial Lessons
If you have never been in the ISR program this is for you!
Dependent upon age and skill level, students will learn either a Rollback to Float or our Swim Float Swim Sequence. This session lasts about 6 weeks, Monday through Friday (5 days a week), with 10 minute lessons per day.
All lessons are student dependent which means we never release a student until they can self-rescue, regardless of the length of time it takes to skill the child (the average being six weeks).
Refresher Lessons
If you’ve been through Initial skills lessons and NEED TO REFRESH WHAT YOU LEARNED, OR are a returning student who previously was a roll back to float and are now ready for swim-float-swim.
Refresher lessons are suggested every six months. As children grow, their skills will need to be adjusted to their new height and weight. Refreshers are highly recommended to refine their skills as they’ve most likely hit developmental milestones since the last time they’ve seen me. Generally refreshers last about 2 weeks.
Roll back to float students who are returning will be taught the full swim-float-swim sequence and will take another full six weeks.
**In some cases since skills are developmentally dependent young children may end up achieving swim-float-stay.
Maintenence Lessons
All finished? Need a little tweak here and there to maintain skills?
After finishing the Initial set of ISR's Self-Rescue program Maintenance lessons are used to keep your child’s skills fine tuned and sharp so that they don’t develop any “bad habits”.
These are not the same as Refreshers and are used to keep them in the water using their skills appropriately with an Instructor. There is no time frame on these which is why I offer a per lesson price because it could be 3 days or 3 weeks all depending upon the child and what they need.
