ISR self-rescue swim lessons
Knoxville, TN

Give your child the competence, confidence and aquatic safety skills with ISR Self-Rescue lessons.

ISR instructors with floating infants

Rollback to Float:

Infants to early walkers will learn the ISR Self-Rescue skill of rolling onto their backs to float, rest and breathe.  They learn to maintain this position until help arrives.

Swim Float Swim:

Established walkers will learn the full ISR Self-Rescue sequence. They will practice swimming with their face in the water, rotate onto their back to float, breathe and rest then flip back over and continue swimming.  They’re taught to  repeat this sequence until reaching the safety of the steps, side of the pool, or shoreline.

(Some early walkers may end up achieving swim-float-stay as skills are developmentally dependent.)
